Your Child’s Safety is Our Number One Priority at Our Preschool

The beginning of the school year is a great time to talk about Bright Beginning’s best practices regarding your child’s safety. Safety is our number one priority. Before curriculum, art, tinkering time, outdoor classroom, and play based learning, we make sure that we are keeping your kids safe at all times. We understand that accidents happen: kids can get a cold or take a tumble and that is a totally natural part of being an inquisitive young mind. But at Bright Beginnings it is part of our Core Values to communicate your child’s well being on a daily basis. We want to make sure that we are best serving your needs and the needs of your children. Trusting us with your children is a big responsibility – one that we feel deserves our time and dedication to ensure that you know just how safe and loved your little ones are going to be at Bright Beginnings.

These are some of the ways we ensure that your child’s safety is our number one priority:

  1. We keep up to date records of your children’s medical history: Without these records you children should not be coming to school. This includes most recent physical and always having up to date immunizations.  This is to ensure that teachers are informed on your child’s individual medical needs and to protect the other children.
  2. We use Tadpoles to communicate with parents: Receiving pictures of your little one’s great day at school helps everybody rest assured that the children are healthy, happy, and taken care of. Also Tadpoles allows parents to communicate each morning if any health issues arise.
  3. We encourage you to participate in parent orientation: This is the start of our teachers and staff being able to customize the day to your child on a variety of levels. We require orientation so we all get on the same page right away.
  4. Emergency plan: We have safety plans in place in the event of an emergency. We know that should an event occur that we will be well prepared to handle it calmly and effectively.
  5. Sanitation: We prioritize keeping a clean and healthy environment so that your kids can come to school every day and not miss out on any of the great opportunities we provide for them.
  6. We vet, curate, and professionally develop our staff: Our teachers are exceeding the  number of hours required by the state to be trained every year. In fact every Monday night our teachers selflessly dedicate their time to learning as much as they can about child development and safety training.
  7. CPR and MAT certifications: 90% of our teachers and staff are CPR and First Aid trained and we exceed MAT certifications despite the policy of only dispensing emergency medications. This helps to ensure that your child is in thoroughly capable hands and means that the people your child encounters on a daily basis are well certified to help keep them safe.
  8. Room design: Our rooms are designed so that while your little ones explore new materials and have great adventures, they are also safe. Kids are most willing to explore new ideas and places when they know that they have a safe environment to do so in.

The most important relationship to us is the one of the teacher and the child. Since your children spend so much time around us, we know that safety starts with our teachers being trained and prepared to provide a nurturing and safe environment for your children. With modern day access to quality online trainings, we believe that we are equipped to meet the needs of our staff, now better than ever.

We cannot always predict when accidents may happen, but at Bright Beginnings we do everything in our power to ensure the daily love, support, and safety of the precious little ones in our care. Being a part of the Bright Beginnings family means that your family can feel confident that every one of your child’s needs is being met, as they are truly a part of our family.

We welcome the opportunity to speak with you regarding any questions you may have about your child’s safety.
