School Support Staff
Our Bright Beginnings Teams are looking for at least one reliable housekeeper/teacher assistant to help us keep our classrooms clean and organized, assist with potty training and diapering and give our sweet kiddos a little extra TLC.
This positon combines housekeeping with assistant teacher duties for our infant and toddler rooms! We are looking for nurturing, reliable, and patient housekeeper/teacher assistants to join our teams and help our teachers snuggle and love our infant and toddler friends!
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the trust, compassion and empathy it takes to create and support a family….because that’s what we are after all! Our Support Staff are the backbone of our schools, from organising, cleaning, shopping, paperwork, spending time with children, assisting teachers in the classroom, the scope of work will keep you constantly on your toes and loving your job!
Hours for the position would ideally be from 10am until 2pm but could be adjusted as long as the schedule is consistent daily. (Ex.- 9:00 am -2:00 pm, 9:00 am-3:00 pm) Perfect for those stay at home moms putting their kids on the bus! Also a great part time position for a college student interested in learning more about early childhood or a retired senior wanting social and family interactions.

- Keep students safe by assisting with direct supervision at all times.
- Anticipate the needs of the lead teacher and effectively communicate with her.
- You will do light housekeeping throughout your shift: sweeping, wiping surfaces, keeping bathrooms, kitchens and closets organized, organizing children’s clothing, nap sheets and classroom equipment.
- Maintain excellent health habits personally and model for co-workers and children. A well maintained and tidy classroom is consistent with the highest health and safety standards and parents expectation as they return to work.
- Follow best practices for COVID and flu prevention.We disinfect toys and surfaces throughout the building daily.
- Diapering and potty training is essential to this position. Must be able to lift infants, toddlers and twos- and follow all diapering steps. No worries-we will train you.
- Flexible- you will be in multiple classrooms and must be able to get along with others, take directions from multiple teachers and smile!
- Attendance is a must! Please apply if you want to work daily for at least 4- 5 hours.
- We look for great attitudes every day- not just at the interview- and clear and consistent communication. You’ll assist with communicating with parents during daily interactions.
- You’ll get to help implement our Reggio inspired curriculum We love to create, experiment, and learn along with our students. Our monthly curriculum calendars set you up for success.
- If you are tech savvy we’ll show you the app ‘Tadpoles’ and other technologies for continual communication regarding children’s daily activities.
