Modern & Fun School Pictures from Firefly Photography

Fall in Virginia is one of my favorite seasons... the leaves turning, brisk air, apple picking, pumpkin patches, halloween...and of course pumpkin spice lattes! Another reason I love fall is that it is school picture time at Bright Beginnings! It is always a blast to be apart of the school picture day process! In the past at Bright Beginnings we have hired the traditional "school picture day" photographers. These are the same ones that our own parents at Bright Beginnings remember...the big equipment, incredibly bright flash, and always being told exactly where to sit and look with a typically outdated background.

This year we were brainstorming with our team and thought...why not do something a little different for school picture day this year? Why not hire a local photographer to come to our schools and take photos of our kids outside, enjoying their environment without all of the pressure of taking the perfect picture? Our friends and website/graphic design team, Jason and Ahna See connected us with Leah from Firefly photography.

Right from the start we new it would be a great fit. Leah was so excited about the idea of doing a modern take on school picture days. Leah specializes in family and child photography and takes a very laid back approach to her photography. (Oh, and did I mention that she has her master's degree in education?!) Leah just finished all three of our schools school pictures and we have already received such positive feedback from our parents!
