Forest Lakes June 11th Construction Update
June 11th- Floors, Observation Windows and Lobby Started
Hello to our Bright Beginnings families and friends!
We are so excited to share construction updates with you! As many of you know our Forest Lakes locations renovations are now underway. Below you will find a list of things that occurred this weekend as well as things to expect in the upcoming week! Take a look at our pictures to see our incredible progress!
This past weekend and upcoming week endeavors:
- Last week we had 14-security camera system set-up and is now running! (Cameras are for security and training purposes only. We respect all students and teachers privacy.)
- New interior window cutouts for classrooms – Glass will be installed after painting.
- New flooring started – this should be completed by the end of the week! (They’re fantastic!)
- New toilets installed by end of the week.
- Painting prep will begin this week!
- New cabinets for entire building will be arriving Tuesday! Installation starts Wednesday!! (Who doesn’t love storage, right!?)
- Lobby refurbished and window added to our Director office.
- All 3 building locations were washed with DNA soft clean to ensure no molding.
WOW! So much happening, and more to come! Stay tuned for more updates. We are still on schedule for total completion at Forest Lakes on July 10!!
Important Reminders:
- Ms. PJ is away this week on vacation. Ms. Alison (Me!) will be greeting our Forest Lakes families each morning. Feel free to stop by and say Hello!
- As you will see in the AMAZING pictures below, cubbies are no longer in the hallway. Cubbies will be on the floor in each classroom until they are installed.

We’re all about letting natural light into our spaces and being able to see into the classrooms for parents at drop off and tours!
Our lobby will be GORGEOUS! We are adding lovely Virginia farm wood and a one-way window so office staff can see into the lobby for assisting families. It will also provide privacy for conferences and meetings.
We love the look and texture that the white farm wood brings to the lobby!
Flooring is done on the way out to one of our playgrounds.
Get ready for better, brighter lighting! We took down our blinds and started new flooring in our classrooms! And that is just the beginning- we are getting brand new beautiful light hardwood classroom furniture, fresh paint for our walls, lighting, cabinets... the list goes on and on!
