Alison has over 10 years of experience working in preschool classrooms and is currently serves as an Assistant Director supervising curriculum at Mill Creek. She is enrolled at Liberty University working on completing her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.

Bright Beginnings Background:

Alison is a strong asset to Bright Beginnings with her creative classroom ideas that neatly combine environmental awareness, massive amounts of art projects and fantastic children’s literature, children are well prepared for kindergarten when they leave Alison’s classroom. She also mentors our new teachers working in the 3 and 4 year old classrooms. Alison started at Bright Beginnings in 2012 as a lead 3 year old teacher and currently teaches Pre-Kindergarten.

Assistant Director, Unit Infant/Toddler Supervisor, Infant Teacher

Nancy graduated from Louisa County High School and attended Piedmont Virginia Community College, CATEC of Charlottesville as well as National Business College. Nancy is a natural nurturer and worked as an elderly caregiver at the Colonnades Retirement Home for many years before pursuing early childhood education. Nancy has over 6 years experience teaching preschool, specializing in infants, toddlers and twos.

Bright Beginnings Background:

Ms. Nancy has been with our Bright Beginnings family for 4 years. She is always requested by parents for her calm and nurturing demeanor. Ms. Nancy is the go to person at Bright Beginnings, Mill Creek in the early mornings! She wears a lot of hats at Mill Creek including: Assistant Director, Unit Infant/Toddler Supervisor and Morning Opener.

What we love about Ms. Nancy:
  • She’s an early bird arriving at school at 6:45 each day!

  • Ms. Nancy came from a large family with 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

  • Ms. Nancy enjoys football and basketball and her favorite teams are the Washington Redskins and LA Lakers.
  • Ms. Nancy's niece, Ms. Heather also works at Bright Beginnings!

Toddler and Two's Lead Teacher

Tracy has been working with children for over 17 years. Tracy has her CDA (Child Development Associate) Certificate and is CPR and First Aid Certified. Prior to joining Bright Beginnings Preschool, Tracy worked for many years at UVA Child Development Center teaching infants, toddlers and twos. Tracy has lived in Charlottesville for 31 years. Tracy combines her education with experience and knowledge making her a perfect fit for our Bright Beginnings culture.

What we love about Tracy:

  • She has a way of making every child feel special.
  • She has a fantastic way of teaching our two year olds independence, structure and creativity while nurturing in a positive way.
Fun Facts:
  • Tracy has more cousins than you can imagine- she is big into the mantra-Family First!
  • Tracy loves the outdoors- camping, driving on Skyline Drive and beach trips are her favorite places to go.
  • Tracy has an adorable little Shih-Tzu named Colby.
  • Tracy is our school Pinterest queen! She loves to pin future classroom activities!
