In a world where quality time is becoming harder to find, it is important to make time for it with your child. Be creative, and have fun! Here are 10 ideas we have for a Mommy and Son date night- No Daddy or friends allowed!

1.) At home movie night complete with popcorn and ice cream sundaes

What better way to watch a movie? Make it extra special by making popcorn with extra butter and ice cream sundaes!

2.) Go to a petting zoo

Look up the closet petting zoo near you. Sometimes they can be over an hour away- make a morning of it. Bring snacks and stop for lunch on the way back! It’s a great way for your son to get up close and personal with some of his favorite animals!

3.) Feed the ducks

Usually where your local pond is, is where the ducks are hiding! This is a timeless and inexpensive activity- just bring bread crumbs!

4.) Take your dog for a walk together

Walking your dog is a fun and easy way to get burn some extra energy that your son has.

5.) Go out to dinner

Going out to dinner together is a fun way for your son to show off using his restaurant manners! Make this dinner special by ordering dessert!

6.) Build a fort in the living room and have a sleepover there

15.) Go to a local sports game

Go to your local high school’s baseball, football or soccer game together! Bring hats, sunscreen and a cooler with snacks and drinks! It’s a great way to get outside and go to an event for free!
